Welcome to Van Kalker Farms.  We are a family owned and operated independent garden center with 2 locations.  We have been serving Chicago's south suburbs since 1961.

The Chicago Heights greenhouse is open 8-7, Monday-Saturday (closed Sundays). The Grant Park greenhouse is open 9-6, Monday-Saturday (closed Sundays). The Grant Park store will be open through Saturday, June 2 as we move remaining plants to the Chicago Heights store.  We may be open Monday and Tuesday, June 4-5, but it's also possible that June 2 will be our last day open in Grant Park for 2012.  We'll see you soon!

Road Construction Alert for Chicago Heights:  Joe Orr Road is closed to our east between the greenhouse and Torrence Avenue.  Joe Orr is also closed at the 394 bridge.  The only way to reach us is to take Stoney Island Avenue.  You can easily find Stoney Island from the north by taking Thornton-Lansing Road, Ridge Road, 186th Street, Glenwood-Lansing Road, or Glenwood-Dyer Road.  From the south, take Route 30 to the frontage road on the east side of 394.  The frontage road turns into Stoney Island.  If you need additional information about naviagating the detours, feel free to call us at 708-758-1732.
